Best Baby Blanket!!
I bought these blankets for my newborn after seeing a friend have them. They are so unbelievably soft....and just what you would expect a baby blanket to feel like. They are very lightweight and extremely versatile. They swaddle the baby perfectly...even my 2 month old still fits swaddled in these blankets perfectly. I am totally hooked...you will not be disappointed....they are expensive, but worth every single penny.
I just had my 3rd baby. My first, no way he would allow a swaddle and slept beautifully on his back. My second, was small and only liked swaddling from her waist down so you could swaddle her with about anything. My new, adorable bundle of joy absolutely refused to sleep on his back. Initially I gave in to letting him stomach sleep so I could at least get a nap during the day but really wanted to get him to sleep on his back. Everyone said a good tight swaddle would get him to sleep on his back. I tried it and it worked, but, the second he got a little bigger, no blanket could contain this little Houdini.
I was on the verge of trying one of the swaddling blankets like the Miracle Blanket but it was sooo expensive for just one blanket that functioned for just one thing. As I read reviews, I came across the Aden + Anais swaddle wraps which had 5 stars and thought, what the heck, I was going to spend that much for just one blanket.
The Aden + Anais muslin swaddle wraps are hands down, the BEST blankets and totally worth the money. They are huge but at the same time, any excess you have seems to just fold away without being lumpy. They are soft, lightweight, can be easily layered and man, they hold a swaddle like nothing else. As an added bonus, they come in a variety of patterns- the jungle animals I think are the cutest.
If I had it to do all over again, I never would have bought the silly flannel "swaddling" blankets that everyone gives you- they don't hold a swaddle and are best used as burp cloths. I would have bought the Aden + Anais swaddle wraps from the start and plan to buy a set as my "go to" baby gift for everyone from now on!
I don't know if I can say any more good things about these swaddling blankets than what's already been said. I love the patterns - the giraffe is by far the cutest! With every wash, these things become softer and softer; it's amazing! They're breathable, so I don't have to worry about my little one happily stuffing a wad of it in her face. They make swaddling a breeze! My husband had gotten used to using a thicker style of blanket that was MUCH smaller in order to swaddle our baby. When I pulled one of the Aden + Anais blankets out, his first words to me were: "These are too big to swaddle with!!" Ha! Now he won't swaddle with anything else and our baby is far less likely to break out of her swaddle. In addition, these are the best "grab and go" blankets. They make a good cover for breastfeeding in a pinch and are perfect to help keep the sun's harmful rays off when we're out for a walk.
I will more than likely end up buying more of these and I will gift these to anyone expecting in the future!

I've got 12 of these!
love these blankets. They are thin and airy enough that I never worried about my son suffocating with them. If it is colder out, I just double them up.
The blankets are fabulous for spit up accidents. Most blankets are too small. Since these absorb so well and are large. Perfect for swaddling.
My son uses them as sleeping blankets and for security. The are also great to cover up your stroller when your baby is sleeping. Great for picnics and sun shades. Their size lets you be creative.

great multi-purpose item
ReplyDeleteI love these things. I was a little taken aback when I got 5 sets of them as baby presents, but kept 2 and am glad I did. You can use them to cover up the stroller when the baby's sleeping, or for swaddling, or folded up as a light blanket. The larger size makes it possible for these uses. As swaddles, their size and stretchiness make it possible to do midnight swaddling without needing great precision. They are very soft, breathable, stretchy. They are the only type of swaddle my baby would tolerate. I would caution you to definitely use low-heat drying because they become really ropy in the
Love these blankets
ReplyDeleteI love these blankets. They are awesome for swaddling babies!! My baby loves to wiggle his way out of being swaddled. These blankets are extra large so there is plenty of material to wrap around the baby twice so he/she won't come unswaddled. These blankets are also super light weight which makes them great for summer. These keep the babies warm but not too hot. They're a little more expensive than other blankets, but they're well worth the money.
