We already had the automotive seat and base for my wife's car, and we simply needed the bottom for mine so we dont must take it inside and outside. The latch is super simple (cars 2002 and newer) it tightens easy with one pull, and seat belts on this base appear to suit exactly like they should. The base has 2 levels easy to read. The automobile seat click ons in whilst you set it in, and your accomplished and in a position to force. This is the base for babies as much as 30 lbs. Our car seat was once the 12 months prior when they only hang up to 22 lbs, however this automobile seat base accepts each the 22 and 30 lb. automotive seats completely.

We used them from 2007 except fall of 2008 with no single issue. Having the additional bases was once beneficial. We had one in our van, on in my husband's explorer, and likewise put one in grandma's new durango. Previous to owning the van I had a grand prix four-door sedan without latch, and it labored simply nice in that automobile also. I favor the latch installation after all, however I loved how you can simply adjust by pressing the orange howevertons to get the base stage in any model automobile. Great product.

I am a licensed kid passenger securety technician and that is NOT a safety concern. Almost all rear going through seats will rebound in a crash. The only ones that is no longer going to are child seats with inflexible LATCH (the just one currently on hand in the United States is the Baby Trend Latch-Loc with rigid LATCH) or one with an anti-rebound bar just like the Britax Companion and convertible seats that tether rear dealing with (all Britax convertible seats, Sunshine Kids Radian, etc). As lengthy as your seat moves less than an inch in any route AT THE BELT PATH (i.e. on an infant seat with a base, right at the seat crack where the other poster mentioned it used to be tight) it's secure.
